With the current os-dyndsn service I can select "Custom" as the "Service type" and enter the information that my Dynamic DNS provider sent me (Username, Password and URL). This software is very useful to many QNAP users particularly those who do web hosting. ddclient lost a lot over the years due to hundreds of thousands of users taking DynDNS for granted:.

That is pretty dirty, though, wouldn't recommend doing that in a prod environment.

Once it is installed you can find “Dynamic DNS” under services. 1.

Hi, I want to use the "Cloudflare API v4" as a DDNS.
Ok, so I have checked things out and got the DDNS setup.
DreamHost and Cloudflare are two examples of domain registrars which have such an API.

As mentioned I have also tried using Check IP method = noip-ipv4, same result. AdSchellevis closed this as completed in #2781 on Jan 29. That is pretty dirty, though, wouldn't recommend doing that in a prod environment. AdSchellevis mentioned this issue on Feb 3. New ddclient in 23.

I have ddclient running on my OPNsense firewall, so that when it sees an IP change on my Internet connection it will then go and update the IP for the specific hostname I setup on Cloudflare. Does this plugin contain the Cloudflare update for using an API token or should I continue using the legacy plugin?.

No need to integrate external scripts.

Go to Cloudflare and add the DNS entry that should be set by ddclient.

Username.
